With two events slated for the weekend of June 15 & 16 people of all ages will most certainly have their choice of something fun and exciting to do.
The Downtown Conneaut Sock Hop Friday June 15 will feature plenty of Classic Cars, along with contests such as a 50's - 60's Dress up Contest, Hula Hoop & Bubble Gum Blowing Contest. Plenty of food and beverages will be on hand or stop by any of the downtown food establishments for a bite. Entertainment will be provided by two bands The "KINGPINS", and "MATTY B. AND THE DIRTY PICKLES".
Anyone who has an old cell phone is encouraged to bring it down to the Sock Hop and turn it in to be recycled. Recycled cell phones will benefit our local area Seniors of the Conneaut Human Resources Center Seniors Together Program.
Everyone is also encouraged to bring a canned good or non-perishable food item to benefit the Conneaut Human Resources Emergency Food Assistance Program.

Saturday June 16 the annual Conneaut Soapbox Derby will roll down the Board Street underpass. The winners of this event go on to the championship event in Akron, Ohio.
